About the Image(s)

The photo was taken at Halloween of this little girl dressed as a unicorn. I thought she looked more angelic, so I got rid of the horn. I first applied a texture, then using a layer mask and paint brush at 25% opacity started removing the texture from her face, wings and part of her dress, going over her face and hair several more times until it was almost sharp. Next, I brought it into Topaz Impression 2 Degas, turning it into an oil painting. Then using a layer mask and paint brush with an opacity between 10 and 25% removed the majority of “oil Paint” from her face.

Fred,
I think you captured the essence of the image rather well, especially with the use of the filters. Perhaps a slight vignette to add a little more depth to the background?   Posted: 01/11/2022 11:49:04

Each month, I'm impressed with the feeling you capture with your images. Excellent! I wouldn't change anything.   Posted: 01/14/2022 02:51:41

Thank you Jerry. Above all it is the "feeling" that I try to convey, I am glad that you feel that I succeeded.   Posted: 01/14/2022 09:47:38

Beautiful...I really like the pastel colours and what you have done with the image. Great job!   Posted: 01/14/2022 09:18:57

Very nice texture blending and turning the image into a portrait. A good way to bring out the little girl and get rid of all the distraction around her.   Posted: 01/14/2022 10:45:57

Fred, this image makes me smile. It is Edited perfectly and one of the best masking jobs I have seen. Thank you.   Posted: 01/22/2022 14:17:51

I really can't add anything new to the comments...My only comment would be to darken all around the edges just a tad so as to separate it from the edge....good job in removing the horn and the people in the background, which wasn't an easy job to do....   Posted: 01/27/2022 13:57:54
