About the Image(s)

Story: This photo was taken at a Revolutionary War Reenactment in Camden, South Carolina. The young boy was attempting to socialize with the two slightly older young ladies who had other things on their minds. As he walked away, he took off his hat and had the sad look of rejection upon his face . . . thus the title “Dang Girls”.

Process: Image with a linen texture on top Using a layer mask painted away faces and clothing at 90% opacity. Then with a 2nd texture and mask, applied at 25% opacity, painted away faces hair and some clothing. Finally used text tool for “Dang Girls”.

I envy your ability to select and blend background images. You also choose a very. Effective title. I have no suggestions for edits or alternative approaches to present this image.   Posted: 09/08/2021 14:42:19

Love the story and the treatment/texture applied to get rid of distraction in the background. Very good.   Posted: 09/10/2021 09:16:45

Wonderful treatment to eliminate and diffuse the distracting background. It also works well portraying that time period.   Posted: 09/10/2021 12:20:05

Very effective result showing a time and place long ago...The expression on the boy's face really tells the story....good job in eliminating the background...The linen effect is very good...   Posted: 09/30/2021 18:22:54
