About the Image(s)

"Original colour image was taken in Kew Gardens last month. I saw the group of trees and thought they would make an interesting B&W to show the texture and shadows. B&W conversion in SilverEfex with localised dodging & burning. I may well add a person in the distance to give more of a story"

I think you definitely achieved your objectives and produced a very appealing image for me. It makes me wonder.

Yes you could add a person or a few ghost images, but I like it as is.   Posted: 06/08/2021 13:59:17

Wonderful, alluring picture. The light and shadows are spot on. Your cropping gives the picture a real sense of depth. You can try adding a figure, ghost, person or animal to see how it looks. But I don't know if it's necessary. Sometimes leaving things to the imagination is good, too. Great job!   Posted: 06/10/2021 15:18:53

Great tiny thing that bothers me is the "face" on the trunk of the big tree on the left...My eye keeps going back to it, instead of looking at all of the other trees.....perhaps you could darken it just a tad, so that it doesn't stand out so much....Adding a person or animal would make it more personal.   Posted: 06/14/2021 22:36:02
