About the Image(s)

On a recent trip to italy we were fortunate enough to visit this northern Italian town on the Ligurian Sea. It is 1 of 5 in what is called the Cinque Terra group of hill towns. they are connected by a rail system and many hiking trails…And yes after taking this photo we actually hiked 5 miles up 850 feet & down again to the town of Corniglia…It will go down as one of our most memorable hikes!

Hi Norm,
Beautiful! It looks like postcard. Perfectly composed. Great perspective and DOF. The mountains and stone walls provided nice texture throughout. The walkway leads me up to the colorful houses. Good story. It was worth the five mile hike to capture this shot. I enjoyed viewing this image. Well done.   Posted: 06/06/2022 18:23:43

Great image. The perspective is top notch. I am not familiar with the Nik system. My eye says the buildings have been "enhanced" more than the hillside and sky. Just my perception, no comment on the technique. I think this would be a big seller as a postcard or a stock image. Good work   Posted: 06/08/2022 04:17:21

Norm - this is a beautiful image; not being familiar with the Nik Color effects, I feel the green mountain to the left and top is a little off in that it does not have the same intensity as the rest of the picture. That being said - it is great.   Posted: 06/19/2022 13:10:14

A beautiful shot of a wonderous place This is the south end of the Cinque Terra love walk. When we were there it was not possible to walk to the other end, it was washed out in a horrible storm. I like the image a lot. The image has a filtered feeling that doesn't feel quite as it is, but I will go along with fine art as an explanation.   Posted: 06/20/2022 14:19:07

Thanks Stan...I appreciate your comments and those of the other PSA members very much...It is indeed a beautiful area. We were fortunate to be there on a lovely day in late May a bit early in the day. Later on that day the Cinque Terra was very busy with tourists.
