About the Image(s)
On a recent trip to Utah I visited this iconic and beautiful spot…I was there before sunrise. Many folks who had been there previously told me that the best images were often to be made after the sun rose and a warm light ensconced the Arch and the Canyon. Also, at sunrise there were many people at the Arch so making an image without people in the frame was not possible. So I waited until after the sun rose and for the sun rise folks to clear out. I managed to take this image by laying prone almost underneath the Arch. My aim was to show how the Arch - unique in itself-framed a magnificent canyon.

You certainly achieved your goal. I have seen many pictures of arches, but have never seen one at this angle which is so revealing of the canyon below. The curve of the arch leads you to the scene below. I also think the color contrasts makes this a Wonderful picture.   Posted: 12/06/2021 12:19:06

Your perspective of the Arch, the warm colors against the blue sky, the texture throughout, and the various tones in the canyon worked together to create this incredible image. Well done.   Posted: 12/07/2021 08:36:59
This is a beautiful image, your tenacity and vision paid off! Beautiful color contrast and the arch draws my eye through the whole image. Wowzer!   Posted: 12/13/2021 09:41:24
Thanks Marcela, Barbara and Marian for your very kind comments. I was lucky and thrilled to be at the Arch on a relatively haze free morning!
