Barbara, Very nice fall image with complimentary colors. I would possibly trying increasing the structure so that leaves are more delineated.   Posted: 11/07/2021 10:22:54

Thank you Harriet. I'll try. I agree the leaves need improvement.   Posted: 11/07/2021 11:06:03

Hi Barbara,
The fall leaves are always is such a beautiful transition of fall. There are a lot of interesting colors in this image with the changing leaves and the the golden addition of the grasses around the lake. You might want to try opening the shadows a little as well as increasing the structure.   Posted: 11/07/2021 18:41:44

I find it very difficult to capture an autumn scene such as this. We toured Nova Scotia in the fall and the colour was fantastic, but my only photographs tended to be close ups. So well done for taking a bit of a view. The leaves have changed colour but are still on the trees, giving a good background. Then we have the leafless tree forming the foreground.   Posted: 11/13/2021 05:46:53

Hi Barbara - a perfect day to be out with the camera. You captured the beautiful fall tones in the trees, which is hard to do on a sunny day. I agree with Cindy's comment about bringing out the shadows. I also wonder what this would look like as a 16x9, pano-like image with the sky cropped out.   Posted: 11/17/2021 09:17:33

Hi Barbara,
A very nice fall color image. I agree with the other comments and here are some additional ones to consider: would shooting with a lens wide than 70mm have been more appropriate to showing the grandeur of the lake and leaves?; did you use a polarizer...depending on the time of day this may make the leaves pop even more; did you use either PS or NX Studio to increase the vibrancy of the colors (NX Studio lets you cycle through various picture controls to see which looks best--a neat tool!)   Posted: 11/17/2021 09:51:56
