Spring at Newport Bridge by Stan Bormann, FPSA, MPSA

September 2021 - Spring at Newport Bridge

About the Image(s)

Shot at ISO 320, 20mm, f/10, 1/250 sec. Found a place to take the bridge with nice spring flowers in the foreground for some color. Processed in Lightroom basic panel with a few brush selections to do a few local adjustments.

Hi Stan, This is a wonderful combination of a landscape image and an architectural study! The image really shouts `three dimensional' with the flower foreground, the bridge mid-image and the marina in the background. The colors and exposure are `right on'. The only minor distraction I find is the `white'<?>
part of the bridge in the upper right quadrant...but I assume that's just part of the structure <?> & probably nothing to be done other than perhaps reducing the highlights there a bit. Great image!   Posted: 09/09/2021 13:12:59

Under construction. Too bad I didn't get it behind that branch   Posted: 09/09/2021 23:54:26

Hi Stan,
Great image. Your perspective of the bridge is interesting. The tree branches in the foreground create a natural frame for the subject. The repeating arches on the bridge draw my eyes through the image into the vanishing point. Well done as usual.   Posted: 09/11/2021 09:44:56

Not only did you get the spring flowers in the foreground but you also framed the marina inside the high arch of the bridge. Good composition with leading lines and repetition.
