About the Image(s)
My husband and I were going to a nearby town and took a wrong turn. It was almost sunset hour and we had to stop when we saw this little golden spot. Everything seemed to glow, even the old truck in the background. Unfortunately, I only had this 55mm F1.8ZA lens with me, and the area was fenced. I took the shot at 1/500 sec because there was a slight breeze and f/4.5, ISO 640. I called the picture The Golden Hour. I was wondering if I should just try to crop it so that our eyes would not be too confused. I will welcome your thoughts and suggestions as always.

Hi Marcela,
Don't you just love it when a wrong turn becomes a great photo-op! The colors in this image are terrific and you did really well considering that it was a fenced area and you could not get closer.. I think you are correct in wanting to crop...How you crop is really a matter of personal preference. For me the key elements of the image are the car, the sky & the field/trees. I would crop out the rock and try to intensify the color of the car so that it stands out a bit more.
Hope this helps.

Hi Marcela,
Wow, what a great find. The overall golden hue in the image especially in the sky is lovely. My preference would be to crop out the left side of the image starting with the dead tree. Then I would crop out the bottom up to the first row of flowers above the rock. I would try to change the color of the truck to a complementary shade of red to stand out more, or a color of your choice. This is a very pleasing and peaceful image. You captured it well.

This is a lovely golden hour image, but it would be really special if you could hone in on the car. Yes, I would crop in and make that statement and maybe remove some of the fence posts in back of the car.   Posted: 09/16/2021 12:06:23
