About the Image(s)

Just a small boat that appealed to me on the low tide. I used the Topaz Spicify filter to add a bit of 'spice'

Hi John,
This is I think a well conceived & executed image! The exposure is excellent & the reflection of the buoys and the pier supports add interest to the image. One suggestion, had you considered cropping up on the bottom of the image a bit to where the first buoy is reflected?... The lower part of the image seems to draw interest from the small boat.

Hi John,
Nice subject. You captured sharp details of the shapes and texture inside and outside of this beautiful wooden boat. The reflections of the boat and colors in the water add interest. I agree with Norm to crop a little of the bottom of the image to give more focus on the subject.   Posted: 09/11/2021 08:28:20

Hi John,

In my opinion, the tilt of the boat adds tension to the picture which most of the time is desirable. I like the exposure, lighting, sharpness and color harmony of this picture. I am not familiar with the Topaz filter you used but it seems to have made the boat pop out of the water. I agree with Norm and Barbara that you might want to consider cropping a little from the bottom to keep the focus on the boat.   Posted: 09/14/2021 18:17:51

John, the boat is super, but in my mind the reflections are what make this image. Well done.   Posted: 09/16/2021 11:37:13
