Hi Stan,
Wow! Strong impact. The majestic pose of the heron, the texture in the nest, the sunlight creating nice shadows on the nest and bird, the colors of the subject against the blue sky, and the sharp details resulted in a perfect image.   Posted: 07/12/2021 08:53:28

Great image Stan! The detail in the eyes and the feathers are great.

A suggestion:depending on whether this is to entered in competition as a Nature image or not had you given consideration to cloning out or using the healing brush (or other PS technique) to eliminate the branch coming up from the lower left of the image?...To me at least it's a bit distracting.

A great portrait of the young heron. Good lighting and a perfect sky for a backdrop. Fantastic birds, we have a rookery not far from us and we often see them flying around often pursued by a gang of crows.   Posted: 07/16/2021 05:46:22

The color, sharpness and lighting on the bird are perfect. This bird looks like he is posing waiting for you to take the picture. The simple blue sky make him stand out even more. Great picture.   Posted: 07/17/2021 20:03:41

As typical of your photography the image has spot on exposure and focus. Really nice capture of a young bird.

You're right, We've been friends for some time & it has been my honor. Much of the Asian photography is the result of my Chinese wife and membership in the International Union of Photographers (IUP). A friend, Hassan, has started a club in Cairo called the Pharaohs (PIPCEGYPT.COM) so I expect some Mideast images in the future and I'm also trying to learn Spanish in hopes visiting Argentina and perhaps some flamingo dance photos.   Posted: 07/29/2021 05:13:01
