After looking at bios, I am sure I’m the new kid (experience not age). I did some B&W film photography when I was in college as a chemistry student, even making my own developing agents. I put photography aside to finish education. When I retired I decided on photography again about 4 years ago. Since then I've taken PSA courses and worked at improving my skill level.
For equipment I use a Canon 5D Mark III, and Canon lenses including; 16-35 mm, 24-105mm, 70-200mm, 100-400mm, and a 100 mm Macro. Currently I use a Vanguard Alta Pro tripod. Software includes Lightroom & Photoshop CS6.
Primarily I have photographed landscapes and more recently I've begun photographing birds. Landscapes also have yielded some travel photographs. If you see too many cacti it is because I live in the Arizona Desert in Buckeye Arizona.
As I struggle to improve I've found the most satisfaction when I finally come to realize what I can do to get to a better level.
