About the Image(s)

On holiday at Milford-on-sea last month, I encountered a dramatic sunrise. As usual, when I looked at the
result I was disappointed. I managed to recreate something of the original scene by putting it through a series of Topaz filters,(I can't remember them all.) Last week at Attenborough Nature Reserve, I was treated to a flight of lapwings. I converted the birds to black, and copied and pasted them into the revised sunrise shot, to produce Early Morning Drama.

Just a most beautiful and spectacular image! My only suggestion would be to add a tiny border...   Posted: 12/10/2021 12:11:49

We have had some great sunrises here recently but they are often fleeting moments so you image reminds me of those. Without the flight of birds it would just be an OK image. Adding the keyline holds the image together but not sure your choice of colour helps and perhaps white or grey would be better. (Says he who often adds large coloured borders!!!)   Posted: 12/13/2021 04:40:21

Nice bombo; my feeling one could lose some of the dark grey cloud at the bottom. What do you think?   Posted: 12/17/2021 13:10:45

I like the composition as it is; the birds definitely add interest to the image. The border using a color from the remarkable sky is a good touch too.   Posted: 12/19/2021 07:44:54

Very nice image. My only suggestion is to consider cropping a little tighter to focus more on the birds.   Posted: 12/19/2021 18:59:34
