About the Image(s)

A few years ago, I photographed an abandoned school. I used a mirrorless camera with a wide angle lens (15 mm), at 1/125 at f 5.3. I liked the leading line created by the sidewalk but everything else was not interesting. So, in Photoshop I reduced the color temperature to make the image appear as a night scene. I then added some fog to the grass areas, added some warm light to a few windows and also a few figures.

Jim, it isn't often that I'll call an image creepy and mean it as a compliment. You have added a whole new dimension to the abandoned school, really created a story with the use of the blue tint, fog, selective lighting and the characters in the windows. Very creative, Halloween-worthy image.   Posted: 11/09/2021 09:57:49

Very Spookee! One or two silhouetted birds flying about might even increase the effect! I like it a lot!   Posted: 11/10/2021 06:12:32

I really enjoyed this image with the blue tints, but it is the addition of the figures in the lighted windows and the shadows on the grass which which lifts it. Without them it would not have had the same impact.   Posted: 11/10/2021 13:24:41

A most dramatic and creative image ! Might have toned down the light in the one lighted window ??   Posted: 11/12/2021 12:54:36

Great picture, very creepy. Good job.
Would it be better if the reflection on the right hand side was slightly toned down?   Posted: 11/21/2021 08:44:09
