About the Image(s)

Many years ago, I was driving down a country road a saw a shed which contained a very old dilapidated tractor with vines growing around it. I tried numerous times to create an image which would show the condition of the tractor and the ram shackled surrounding shed. But, my efforts were not appealing. So, in my latest attempt I selected just the tractor, reversed the image and enhanced the color of the tractor. I then overlayed the tractor image over my photo of a ripened field of corn. I call the image Field of Dreams.

There has been a lot of hard work to achieve the final image, which I reckon is extremely effective, and a big improvement on the original. I just think that it deserves a tad more colour saturation. I have given it 25 units. My apologies if you don't feel that it is needed.   Posted: 10/05/2021 04:58:13

Mike, thanks for your suggestion. I do like the additional saturation.   Posted: 10/05/2021 08:28:08

Very creative, Jim! Congrats on finally finding the way to present the tractor--I'm sure we all have had the experience of knowing that there's a good image based on a shot we have, but not getting it right on the first X-number of tries. Kudos for your persistence and the final result.   Posted: 10/05/2021 09:24:12

DO like the treatment but the positioing of the tractor bugs me especially as it appears we have lost some of the front wheel. Moving it up a little would emphasise that it is hidden in the vegetation and not cropped off.   Posted: 10/10/2021 11:51:06

Very creative effect - good job. I think the green foliage really helps make this image. I tend to agree the tractor is a little low in the frame.   Posted: 10/20/2021 04:06:03
