About the Image(s)

I took a photo of a hiker’s cap about eight years ago “ 1/13, f 6.3, ISO at 640 and with a 20 mm lens. I was fascinated by the two vent openings, the snap button and the cord just above the brim which to me looked somewhat like a face. I created my image by copying and reducing my photo of what I think was some sort of a Mayan sculpture. I then used several topaz filters to add color. In the future I think I will try to photograph someone with blue eyes and use them in the two vent openings.

This is great but I'm anxious to see the result with the blue eyes. I'll be looking forward to that one.   Posted: 07/04/2021 15:31:48

This is a fun image. The intrinsic face in the hat is very obvious, and adding the Mayan face is a clever touch. Definitely more interesting with the Topaz colors than in the original.   Posted: 07/05/2021 07:12:58

A wacky image that works well. On the mention of eyes, instead of the face, could you introduce an eye into each of the top holes. I think that might work well!   Posted: 07/05/2021 12:50:16

Well seen as they say ! and the face tops it off quite nicely   Posted: 07/08/2021 14:25:33

Thanks for reminding us that our image making should be fun. This really made me smile. Great observation in the first place seeing the potential. Then your manipulation enhances the result and the face is a bonus.   Posted: 07/12/2021 09:33:41

This is definitely a "fun" treatment and very attractive. I like it a lot and some ideas for me.   Posted: 07/14/2021 05:08:14
