About the Image(s)

I took a close-up of the feathers of an Egyptian Goose (Original). I subjected this to Photoshop Distort Twirl at 180, and the result was treated to a mild dose of Autumn in Topaz Adjust 5, before adding a frame in Nik Collection Colour Effects Pro 4. The thickness of the frame was adjusted, and a thin outer layer added to create the final image.

What a super photo with so much movement and texture. Loved what you did with it. However, your original is terrific too! Great photos!

Mike, The original image is already lovely, abstract, great texture and colors. The slight twirl is a great touch, and the textures in the new image are even better than before. I've spent a fair amount of time looking at it already; probably will spend some more.   Posted: 05/08/2021 07:45:27

So simple and SO very beautiful.Might downplay the border a bit?   Posted: 05/09/2021 12:56:50

Using twirl effects is becoming rather popular. The trick is always to do just enough to match the subject and you have done so with this. With abstract and arty images I feel that the addition of a border is always a welcome addition as it show the makers intent was to make something more than a straight shot.   Posted: 05/10/2021 03:23:13

Wonderful images but I have a slight preference for the original. No suggestions.   Posted: 05/10/2021 08:22:06

Nice effect. Parts of the image look soft to me, not sure it matters but detracts a bit.   Posted: 05/19/2021 05:35:46
