About the Image(s)

This is a composite of three images which were put together for a themed ‘Abstract’ competition in my camera club. I’m not sure that this fits the theme and I may not enter it but it was fun to make. The three images were : a photograph of a photograph of the night sky, a shot of a sculpture and a shot of a sleeping child. At first the child’s face was not part of the image but as the shape looked more and more like a being, I thought that maybe the finished image could become something a little more other-worldly and also suggest creation. I manipulated the sculpture image with various Photoshop filters and blurred the sleeping child’s face so that it was just about visible. Attached is the sculpture shot which I fragmented. Images taken on several Fuji XT-XT3 cameras

Peter, according to the description, this photo took quite involved steps and techniques. It is creative. It also gave me another way to appreciate photographic art. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the competition! - Marisa   Posted: 11/06/2021 15:25:26

Peter, you are operating in a different dimension than I can. I love the central image and the background is perfect. Reminds me of something from 2001 - Space Odyssey.   Posted: 11/09/2021 09:00:23

This is a great example of "Creative Altered Reality." My opinion is that it should definitely be entered in your camera club competition. Also, if your club participates in the PSA Digital or PSA Print competition this would be a good entry.   Posted: 11/15/2021 20:18:51
