Peggy's Cove by Glenn Rudd

September 2021 - Peggy's Cove

About the Image(s)

In 2019 I took a Sea and Land Tour with Princess Cruises from New York City to Montreal, Canada. Peggy's Cove in Halifax, New Brunswick is a well-known tourist destination. There were a great abundance of wonderful photo opportunities but this was on of my favorites. To me , it captured the essence of this famous picturesque town.
Technical: 1/1250 sec, f/7.1, ISO400, 28mm.

Glenn, I like the lead-in line from the boat house to the rocks and beyond. A great sky and plenty to see on either shore. Looks like this was a place where you got plenty of shots.   Posted: 09/08/2021 05:07:25

I like the composition and the puffy clouds in the blue sky. On my screen, the area under the dock on the left and building on the right is blocked. The boats and building on the left are also very dark, and perhaps could benefit from a little increased brightness.   Posted: 09/11/2021 12:40:53

Great seascape, Glenn! Peggy's cove has been the subject of many photographers - but I like where you were standing and what was on your card. Your angle takes me through the water and out into the ocean. The structures on both sides keeps me meandering on the water.   Posted: 09/16/2021 20:38:04
