Water Dance by Joe Kennedy

July 2021 - Water Dance

About the Image(s)

A small group from my camera club did a night shoot in Boston and came across this little water park. We knew there would be a lot of interest on this particular hot evening. This little girl did not disappoint. Shot at f/5.6 at 0.7 sec. and handheld. Processed via PS and NIK Plug-ins.

As usual I love your work. I just wish there were a way to reduce the opacity a bit on the water so that the girl was less hidden behind the drops.   Posted: 07/03/2021 15:40:36

Excellent movement in this in the child and the water. I think the child does need to be clearer though and I would crop a section off the bottom and clone out some of the remaining clear lights.   Posted: 07/07/2021 07:53:43

Echoing other's comments, it would help if the child stood out more prominently. I'm not sure how to do that - tried it unsuccessfuly in photoshop. Cropping from the top would also help make her more obvious.   Posted: 07/12/2021 12:56:51

I agree with the comments on cropping to reduce the bright reflections. Would have loved to see more of the girl.   Posted: 07/13/2021 08:02:44

The water and lights created a mysterious yet romantic atmosphere. It is creative and full of imagination. I like it a lot.   Posted: 07/14/2021 15:23:46

Nice photo. Like the night scene. I've been there during the day and it can be tough getting a good photo on a bright and sunny day.   Posted: 07/14/2021 18:58:48

The moving water along with the lights creates a fascinating setting. I like the reflections and the colours. Then you have included an intriguing element to the scene with the blurred figure in the water feature. It definitely gets my interest. Maybe and its only a maybe a slight crop from the top to remove the red objects might be an improvement.   Posted: 07/16/2021 05:10:53
