This winter I was photographing National Para Ski Championship. There were not so many physically disabled competitors without hands and legs as on the World Cup, but you can see, they are not quite normal. Photo is interesting also because the forest behind is in shadow and grey, just the skier and his dress stand out.
Nikon P-950, 350 mm on built in lens, shutter priority 1/640, F5, ISO 100, handheld. Processing: crop. levels and curves in PS Elements.

Nice story-telling shot. The monochrome background really helps the skier and flag stand out. If the skier is the main focus, you might consider toning down the red of the flag and brightening the skier more. I love the determination in his face. Good capture! Posted: 09/15/2023 02:14:53
Bringing out the shadows, especially on the skier, will help bring some more detail to the image. I would also bring the highlights down a bit, this will help with the snow Posted: 09/19/2023 14:21:44
Nice sport shot. Your post processing is good. You have improved the sharpness significantly. I think during the curve/level adjustments, you lost the details in the snow. It would have been better to use the shadow/highlight for this. Posted: 09/21/2023 09:17:12
