About the Image(s)

Taken 2023 4/15, 11:00 Figuroa Mountain, CA, USA. Mountain road about 1200 m elevation. About 50 km North of my home. Wild flowers resulting from an unusually high rainfall this year, what is called a super bloom.

Canon EOS 5DS R Camera with Canon EF28-135 f/3.5-5.6. 28mm, f/3.6, 1/6000 sec, ISO 500. Hand held. Not optimum settings for a landscape photo.

Curved road, path and people add to interest, I hope. Blue lupine and orange California Poppies, the state flower. Lightroom Develop sliders, and reduced temperature to bring out blue flowers and sky. Photoshop Canvas enlarge and clone stamp to show top of the tree

Very good landscape image. The image is colorful. Your adjustments for the blue flowers and sky is good. To me, the vibrance in the original image is lost and looks like a little over exposed. The canvas enlarged area needs a little more corrections as the patches are visible. I did a quick trial with levels and curve with a little burning of road areas on your original   Posted: 05/09/2023 09:18:03

Very pretty. The blue in the sky and the orange and purple of the flowers make for a vibrant image. My eye was drawn to the road on the left. Burn that and brighten up the road which is a leading line to the people. I agree with Mohanan that the flowers could be more vibrant. Good job on the clone.   Posted: 05/09/2023 10:31:55

Walter, what a BEAUTIFUL location to photograph. I think if I were you, I would be there every day shooting landscape, macro, small groups of flowers... Possibilities are endless. I do like the coloring better in the original and would definitely play around with the crop.   Posted: 05/10/2023 12:54:14

These flowers are a very pretty subject! There are several ways of cropping this, so it would depend on what you want to show. I personally think the sky adds some beauty to it, so that is something I would like to save. Adding some saturation does help bring out the flowers more.   Posted: 05/21/2023 21:39:32

You enhanced the colors of the beautiful flowers well. And skillfully added the top of the tree and some more sky. The people add interest. I suggest you remove the road at the bottom and left.   Posted: 05/28/2023 15:12:17

I like colorful processed image. Just correct some cloning faults on the top of the sky.

I agree with Joan to completely remove the road.   Posted: 05/29/2023 16:37:50

Thanks for the great advice.

Yes the top cloning needs touching up. Burning the road is good. More brightness and saturation are good too.

Thanks again
