About the Image(s)

This image was taken using my Samsung A52 mobile. ISO-400, Exposure 1/50 sec, f/2.4 with center weighted average. Trimmed the image, adjusted the levels, hue and a little saturation. Since on right side there was shadow to compensate, I just burned the left side like a vignette.

Mehndi is a temporary skin decoration using a paste of powdered dry leaves of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis). This is also known as "henna tattoo". Please see details at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehndi

This is a great photo! I had to go back to the original to determine this is a woman's left hand and not a marble statue. Well done!   Posted: 05/12/2022 12:22:35

Very unusual photo. Sharp enough for mobile and shutter 1/50. Just left and the fourth finger seem a little bit blurred.

Your processing is good as always.   Posted: 05/14/2022 14:52:03

Great image! You captured both the colors and the texture with a cell phone. Both are a challenge. Good strategies used in post processing. I would like to see a crop with more space on the right side of the hand and more of the arm with the varied designs showing. Thanks for sharing and including the info about Mehndi.   Posted: 05/20/2022 13:23:07

Beautiful image and processing of the skin decoration. I too would like more neutral space on the right side. It looks a little crowded there right now. And I would clone out the white spot between the third and fourth finger. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.   Posted: 05/25/2022 15:46:00

Beautiful ethnic art. Well captured and processed. Gold is meant to go with dark skin.   Posted: 05/25/2022 22:16:14
