Interesting shot of a turkey vulture from above. Don't normally see them in a seaside setting as they normally occupy inland hills and valleys.   Posted: 01/07/2022 13:24:27

Thanks. There is a lot of carrion with the seal birthing area below. Good to know its usual habitat. Thanks. I'm not a birder but heading in that direction with my love of photographing birds in flight.

Depending on where you live, bird photography can be very fun. It's great to practice with large birds like vultures, gulls, and pelicans. Then move on to eagles, hawks, and falcons before tackling chickadees, swifts, and swallows. Those little birds elude me to this day. Best to get them in their nesting areas in the spring.   Posted: 01/07/2022 17:37:52

I agree. After many attempts I got a good swallow in flight photo that I think I submitted here years ago.   Posted: 01/08/2022 08:58:08

Great composition from up on a bluff. I would lighten the shadows in the background to not compete with the bird.   Posted: 01/17/2022 07:04:57

This is a great Nature shot because it is rare to find a Turkey Vultures flying over the Ocean. This is a nature shot and the water is in soft focus while the bird is sharp, great detail and great color. I would not change a thing.   Posted: 01/17/2022 16:04:33

Water, this is a GREAT image! Sharp, well cropped and the saturation of the bird is perfect. I can't believe that you were able to capture such detail over water. I have been trying to master large birds in flight but have met with very little success.   Posted: 01/19/2022 18:01:05

Beautiful nature shot. I liked the composition. The image is sharp and the details in the wings are clearly visible. Did to check the levels of the image? A little correction on levels will reduce the brightness of the water and make the bird stand out. A quick trial is attached   Posted: 01/20/2022 11:12:12

Interesting sight down. I agree with Joan, that background is a little bit distraction.

Although the beak is sharp, I would try to additionally sharpen the feathers.   Posted: 01/20/2022 17:10:43
