About the Image(s)

I recently visited the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami, Florida. the home of more than 40 historic train cars which have been beautifully renovated. Many of the railroad cars, like the one in my image, are open to boarding by visitors.

I took this image with my Sony A6300 camera in low light at 1/20 sec, f/6.3, ISO 1600, and renovated it. I lightened the shadows, did some cropping, fixed the perspective and the white and black points, and added texture and clarity. I cloned out the bits of white in the ceiling reflected from the ceiling lights. To deal with the noise from the low light, I used Topaz deNoise.

Nice job documenting your museum visit. When you can't fit in everything, sometimes you can copy/reflect/combine to fake a full view. How is this? I did not quite close up the two images to show where they meet.   Posted: 11/09/2021 22:51:39

Nice work on a tough shot, Joan. I do like Stephen's comment above because I just learned something new for situations like this. And after all, that is what this is all about, isn't it?   Posted: 11/10/2021 17:12:54

Great color story! I am wondering if playing up the angles with a filter may take this image to the next level.   Posted: 11/17/2021 16:03:41

Joan, good documentary capture and processing!

Terry, sorry, but your filter seems very unnatural.   Posted: 11/20/2021 15:56:01

A good image. Your post processing is good and you have brought out the shadow area details. I liked your cropping to avoid the bright light on the top. I liked Stephen's suggestion, when the images are joined together, it will make a complete one.   Posted: 11/22/2021 02:09:10
