About the Image(s)

Let's go once more to the nature.

On a lake near Ljubljana (Capital city of Slovenia) there are more then 100 swans. It's a perfect place for observing them. You must just come early in the morning. Here I've captured landing of three swans in contra-light.

Nikon P950 at 500 mm on built in lens, shutter priority 1/1250, F5.0, ISO 100, handheld.

Processing: crop, contrast improvement with highlights, levels and curves in Photoshop Elements, selective sharpening in Nik.

Nice work, Bogdan. Swans are difficult to photograph without blowing out the highlights. You made a very nice capture in the early morning light.   Posted: 11/10/2021 17:22:12

What a beautiful story this image tells. The grace and formation tell us a lot about these birds. I am wondering if trying to tone down the blue in the birds might enhance the image. I played around with Nic and this is what I came up with. This may be taking out too much of the blue but it may give you some ideas.   Posted: 11/17/2021 15:42:04

Nice capture of the landing swans. The lighting from the right side looks good. The image has a blue tone, which makes the color of the swans un-natural. I think a warming filter will help to bring back the original color of the swans.   Posted: 11/22/2021 02:38:47

It is difficult to get three birds all in focus and you did well. Three is a pleasing quantity, and the black background makes the subjects pop out. Perfect.   Posted: 11/22/2021 17:45:44
