About the Image(s)

This photo was taken with my I-Phone 11 Pro Max in Live View at the Cincinnati Zoo last month. Using the Edit software used the clone tool to remove the distractions. I then adjusted the exposure, lowered the brilliance and increased the highlights. Finally I used noise reduction tool and adjusted the saturation.

You have created an underwater shot through the glass. The image has beautiful underwater color and sharpness. The cropping is perfect. Good work.   Posted: 09/19/2021 10:17:08

I love the face of the underwater hippo, and all the little fish swimming around. I would remove the second (partial) hippo, and move the group of little fish to the left. Thank   Posted: 09/19/2021 16:16:07

A good composition with the partial hippo and the fish. It could use a little more contrast, retaining some haze to portray under water.   Posted: 09/19/2021 17:36:31

Kathleen, great image. You truly get a sense of how buoyant these animals are in spite of their weight and size. The fish included in the image help us to get a better sense of the hippo's size. Well post processed for both content and color.   Posted: 09/20/2021 11:56:52

I didn't know, that hippos are swimming underwater.

It's hard to get good photos through the glass. Low contrast and greenish colours are so unnatural. You can correct it with Color Cast or Auto Color.   Posted: 09/22/2021 15:41:22

Thanks. I'll try it   Posted: 09/22/2021 18:34:18
