November 2023 - The Beauty of the Honey Buzzard

About the Image(s)

This photo was taken at Taiwan. The bee eagles always come to Taiwan around Oct - Dec. I using sony A1 1/3200; f/8; Iso 2500. The photo was taken around 8:00AM to 9:30AM. The original photo had a eagle on the right side and the background. I add another eagle on the left side, and also add more bee around the two eagles.

Pei-Fan Mu, welcome to the "Birds" digital dialogue group #15. This is the first time I've seen a photograph of bee eagles. Your photograph shows the elegance and power of eagles. The lighting is dynamic and reveals so much color and detail on the underside of the wings. Very well done.
I look forward to seeing more of your photographs. Jim Horn   Posted: 11/04/2023 15:18:15

Welcome to our group 15. Your image has such great visual impact. It is very sharp and the colors are terrific. It is great that your are able to share different birds that we don't see in the United States.   Posted: 11/04/2023 16:32:41

Pei-Fan, great action composite image. Very sharp, the eagles are nicely transilluminated and they are having a feast with the bee's. The bee hive is quite big.   Posted: 11/04/2023 18:07:47

Hello Pei-Fan, Welcome to the group. I really like this photo. I think you have excellent lighting, great composition and a powerful story! You have done a great job with adding the eagle on the left side. I would love to see the two original images that you combined to make this final image. These eagles look very similar to the Red-tailed Hawks I see in my area.
Welcome again! Looking forward to seeing more photos from you.   Posted: 11/06/2023 10:25:24

Welcome to our group! You've done a wonderful job here and I look forward to seeing more of your work. Just as a note: If you ever wish to enter nature or bird shots like this in photo contests, you cannot add or manipulate the image by adding a bird or bees. The images have to be natural, with only normal processing for exposure, cropping, etc. Having said that, I love how you created such a compelling and action-oriented photo.   Posted: 11/07/2023 12:23:46
