Bryan Moon and Birds by Jeri Conklin

September 2021 - Bryan Moon and Birds

About the Image(s)

This was my first attempt to make a composite picture. I attended a Bryan Peterson Seminar and all pieces of the photo were separate pieces of the shoot that day.

I think you dis a great first time composite of the three images, plus however many birds were in separate layers. I love the idea of Bryan Peterson jumping over the moon, was he saying "moo??" Although it is not quite dark yet in your image. since the iight is coming from behind Bryan, you might consider darkening him still more to almost a silhouette. It is wonderful that you were able to get him into such a good position over the moon. I recently took a class in composites and almost the most important lesson was to make sure the light made sense. I will attach a sample of what might be closer to the actual light situation. I cut off a ibit of the sun by accident.   Posted: 09/13/2021 13:04:53

Joan, thank you. So the workshop with Bryan Peterson was shot early morning so it may have been the sun instead of the moon and covered with the fire smoke that was going on. I understand what you are saying about darkening it for the silhouette effect. The birds had been shot as they were that morning. As for Bryan, we were on the ground shooting up as he jumped in the air on a table. I probably should darken the sunrise colors, but I did great just to get him and the birds pasted in. I should change the title I guess, "When Bryan jumped over the sun." Thank you again Joan.   Posted: 09/13/2021 13:52:33
