About the Image(s)

Here is ”Hunter”. I was fascinated by the play of shadows on the windowsill that transformed a tame porcelain dog figurine to a wolf watching for prey at sunset. Fuji XT-2, F 14 mm, f/14, 1/250,
ISO 1000, aperture priority. Manual focus.

Hi Kirsti, another example of your good imagination and the ability to see a picture within a picture. The bright diagonals lead our eye to hunter who appears to be looking through long grass for his prey. The yellow color gives the appearance of sunset. I like the texture from the wood.   Posted: 09/12/2021 14:18:08

Good seeing! The dog statue makes a wonderful reflection which you noted. Simplifying it so it becomes almost a graphic design is a great idea. In addition to the impact of the dog and grasses, you have some interesting diagonal lines, which give the images even more impact as they lead to the dog. This is photography at its best. Thanks for your creativity.   Posted: 09/13/2021 13:14:10

Thank you, Joan. I have been starting to look for stories told by the shadows, and it feels so wonderful when they open also to others!   Posted: 09/14/2021 02:40:49

Thanks, Jeri! We have inherited a pair of the figurines, and I think they may be ready for new adventures in the world of shadows.   Posted: 09/14/2021 02:44:00
