About the Image(s)

This photo was shot in 2013. I like this environment, lighting, and model’s casual pose. In this re-editing, I mainly focused on the lighting to increase the dramatic effect. I also used the Lightroom preset to change the image’s color tone. What do you think? Welcome any comments and suggestions. Thanks!

Camera: Nikon D4, Lens 50mm, f/1.4, exposure 1/125 sec at f/5, ISO 400

Hi Xiao. Another nice image and you have done a great job in processing from the original. The eye is drawn to the model's face with the reflection in the glass giving that additional point of interest, the colour grading works well for this together with the tonings of the background blending in nicely with the models look.
A very minor distraction to me is the models watch face, while not blown out it is still a big white dot which is a bit distracting. Not too sure what I would do with that perhaps an overlay of a light blue tone on the watch face might remove the distraction. Well caught and processed image, thanks for   Posted: 08/05/2022 22:48:57

Very interesting and overall well done image. I would reduce the intensity of the blue on the back wall as that is where my eye went first. As to the watch face, I selected it and with about a 2-3 percent opacity painted it with a touch of black to tone it down. What bothered me more, was the bright blue on the wall. So I selected it and then toned that down a bit as well to keep the focus on the gentleman. What doo you think?   Posted: 08/13/2022 08:59:04

Hi Xiao. I think that your additional processing has significantly increased the effectiveness of this image, especially the color toning and the change in the lighting. Your crop was an excellent choice as well. The composition is dynamic due to the diagonal positioning of the figure and the shapes behind him. I esecially like the reflection of the model's face in the mirrored wall behind him. Overall, you've done an excellent job - thanks for sharing it!   Posted: 08/14/2022 13:13:00

Hi Xiao - What a nice improvement over the original! I particularly like the impact from the lighting and your attention to detail in processing over the washed out background of the original. Nice job!   Posted: 08/15/2022 22:51:51
