About the Image(s)

I visited the south eastern part of our country in February 2019. It was the city of Chittagong, one of the biggest port cities in my country. There lies the river Karnafuli which flows through the city and into the Bay of Bengal. This image was captured when the fisherman returned from the river and sea after an all night catch. They sell their catches every morning like this. I went very early in the morning, climbed a tin shed building rooftop (very risky) and managed to capture images worth looking at. It was captured by Canon 5D Mark3. Hand held and no gymble without flash. I made a very simple cropping and clipping by cs6.

I am satisfied with the post process. I hope all of you enjoy the image. Any suggestions would be more than welcome.

Hi Syed, Thank you for your image! Your image always brings us a new story. I love it! In this image, I feel a little busy, not sure which is your main character: fishes, sellers, or buyers, and for me, you seemed to treat them equally. It is just my thoughts.   Posted: 10/13/2021 13:47:14

Hi Kamal (I hope I'm addressing you appropriately; I believe you mentioned the preference of Kamal at one point) - Your photojournalistic street scenes are always so interesting and colorful. A very down-to earth everyday portrait of a market environment. I like that you removed the gentleman from the upper left hand side. I might have also removed the person in the light plaid in the upper middle as well just because they are cut through at the middle and dressed in a light fabric - which could appear as a slight distraction to some. Well done; well captured; nice story.   Posted: 10/15/2021 11:13:38
