Hi Xiao,
This is a nice change from your portraits. The color palette works really well and the yellow stands out from the background. My suggestion would be to try different compositions. There is a lot of negative space on the left side. I like the diagonal line formed by the 2 yellow flowers. If you have time go to PSA Group 6. The administrator has provided good feedback regarding floral images.
Best regards,

Hi Gregory, Thank you for your comments and suggestions! I checked Group 6, and it is about "close-up." Technically my shot is not about "close-up," and I like to empathize with the "environment setting."   Posted: 09/04/2021 16:45:40

Hi Xiao

Lovely colourful image and great choice of depth of field having one very sharp flower and regression in focus going into the background, the background blurring in my view makes this image work. I do agree with Gregory that there is a lot of negative space in the image which is not adding to the strength of the image. I particularly like the combination of the three flowers grouped in the centre top of the image the other two flowers in the image seem to draw my eye away from the main grouping.

Lovely image captured very well and very sharp thank you for sharing   Posted: 09/06/2021 18:32:04

I love the colors, but also feel you have a lot of space on you left side, which takes away from your image. My suggestion would be to crop from the left side.   Posted: 09/09/2021 13:46:23

Hi Xiao - Your image does a good job of capturing your artistic intent of flowers within the environment. To strengthen the composition, I might suggest cropping horizontally right above the bottom right flower and vertically just to the left of the recessed flower of the far right flower. I would then flip the image horizontally. The leading lines created by the stem along with the lighting will help focus on the main subject I particularly like the beautiful colors that are nicely balanced.   Posted: 09/10/2021 17:13:00

Hi Xiao. I love this type of image, creating a graphic composition out of colorful blooms. I agree with Darcy that the three flowers grouped together are the primary subject and the other two don't really add much. I like the square crop that she suggeested.   Posted: 09/11/2021 12:32:24
