About the Image(s)
This was one of those impromptu captures. I had my camera, the light was right, and the sky had some character. There was this grouping of trucks with their buckets stored in the sky that caught my attention. I couldn't say why . . .
Nothing more than typical cropping and general editing was necessary. I do pay particular attention to noise reduction when so much sky is at play. I also added just a touch of a vignette as I recall.
This image was taken last month; handheld; early evening. ISO 100, 24mm, f5.6, 1/250 sec.

Hi Darcy,
Avery simple but interesting image. It made me think of the recovery effort going on in Florida.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,

Hi Darcy, definitely brought a smile when I first saw it. Well seen and captured, the low sun angle illuminating the side of the machinery adds to the attraction of the image.   Posted: 10/16/2024 07:32:40

Hi Darcy - a fun image - The one forklift made me giggle - like it was trying to be like the buckets. Just enough color pops to make it fun. Great sky and lighting for it for sure!   Posted: 10/17/2024 12:01:32

Hi Erin - It was fun and so different from what I am usually drawn to . . . I'm blaming the natural light that day - what else could make a bunch of bucket trucks so appealing? That's my story and I'm sticking with it! I like your creative spin -Thanks!   Posted: 10/23/2024 22:56:46

Hi Darcy. I love it when something like this attracts my attention. You have captured it well, and it has a whimsical vibe. It reminds me of a gathering of subjects paying attention to their leader- the tallest guy with the red extension. My only suggestion would be to try darkening the blue of the sky just bit to add a bit more drama.   Posted: 10/21/2024 20:53:36

Hi Ingrid - I like how you think . . . if you look closely, some have quite expressive 'faces' too! On a more serious note, darkening the sky a bit would improve the contrast. Thank you for the suggestion!   Posted: 10/23/2024 23:07:24

Hi Darcy,
I giggled at the image; then laughed again at the title. I love that your eye saw this and you were able to capture such a fun shot. No improvements from me.
Thanks for sharing.
