This is a very interesting subject. If the description had not mentioned that the door was old and not often seen today, I might have missed the unique structure of the door. I don't understand the mechanism so I tried Google Images to see if I could find something similar, but with no success. I've magnified the image and it looks like the rods slide to the right and can be inserted into holes in the doorframe. In this image only the top two rods are inserted into the right doorframe. I can only assume that once all the rods are slid to the left, the frame will swing open to allow one to unlock the real door. Nice selection of the subject.   Posted: 11/10/2023 17:26:35

The color contrast and line repetitions make this image. The grey provides a background that does not detract from the door and its covering. So interesting and unique to any door that I have ever seen.   Posted: 11/12/2023 15:46:00

Hi Fat, Great find, the limited pallet is great, the HDR treatment has worked well enabling the door and the brickwork to really pop, the vertical and horizontals make for an interesting image, the padlock in the centre shows that this is a door, very innovative security door, the weathering of the lower door and step add to overall character of an ancient door.   Posted: 11/25/2023 23:20:54
