A totally interesting take on this assignment and show how much LIGHT is a key to our hobby and our daily lives and this would have been key to electric bulb etc.   Posted: 05/03/2023 17:26:44

Love this, Wendy. The colors and rows and rows of lanterns are so interesting, and the crop is perfect to keep our eyes on the subjects.   Posted: 05/12/2023 08:33:06

Before I retired I worked for a Japanese company and spent a lot of time there. This image really brings back memories. As hard as I tried to learn to read Japanese, I just couldn't do it. But I would love to be able to read what is on each lantern. This image does a good job of capturing the beauty and mystery of Japan. And it makes me want to return.   Posted: 05/22/2023 16:14:10

I love to see the caligraphy on each lantern! It is so beautiful when the characters are putting on the yellow lantern. Great job !!   Posted: 05/23/2023 05:03:35

A very interesting shot. Almost abstract until you look at it more closely and realise what they are. I may have cropped the bottom row out though to keep the image as three rows of lanterns.   Posted: 05/27/2023 09:07:37
