Burning Tree by Steven Wharram, LRPS

May 2022 - Burning Tree

About the Image(s)

This was taken early on my way home from dropping my wife off at the railway station at 6:15am. I could see that it was gping to be a good sunrise and I was trying to find somewhere to capture it. I had stopped to photograph a misty field with the sunrise in the distance and then I turned around a litle bit and saw the sunrise behind this tree.

What I did:
As usual, I've kept any manipulation to a minimum
Cropped slightly
Resized for this Group

Love how your shot is not in LANDSCAPE position and the tree comes alive and well done, please keep me wondering what you would do NEXT.   Posted: 05/08/2022 18:34:11

Sometimes, the best shot is behind us! Great title and a very unique perspective.   Posted: 05/10/2022 09:23:56

I like the way you have used the sunrise as a composition element to make it seem as if the tree is on fire. I find that to be a very interesting approach. Also some interesting shadows in the foreground that helps differentiate the tree/house silhouette and the green lawns.   Posted: 05/22/2022 11:51:38
