The filters allow one to think can now be done and out of cameras and allow one to realize one doesn't always need to capture right inside the camera.   Posted: 09/06/2021 04:13:56

Actually I didn't start with the idea of using that kind of filter. This time of year is the absolute worst time for landscape photography where I live. No color, hot, blown out skies. I headed to the mountains to search for some good stream shots but because it was a holiday the woods were full of people and since we are in the middle of a drought, it probably didn't matter. Returning from the forest I saw the scene that I shot and submitted. But for all the reasons above, it wasn't a great photograph although I thought it was a decent composition. Thus application of some artistic filters to try and have something to submit.   Posted: 09/06/2021 15:00:37

Beautiful effect, it really does look like a painting. I like the soft colors and the composition. I enjoy experimenting with artistic filters, there are so many creative things to do with photography.   Posted: 09/19/2021 17:59:32

Hi Paul, lovely painterly effect, nice colours and toning, just the right amount of slider to create the effect, very pleasing to the eye, good placement of the building and the grass in the foreground adds an enclosing border.   Posted: 09/20/2021 08:28:38

It would have been interesting to see the scene before the effect was added as the trees seem to be in full leaf. I do like the composition although I wonder about the grass at the bottom. Perhaps cropping below the lowest bit of bank would be an option.   Posted: 09/27/2021 05:52:56

Besides the watercolour effect of image, the arrangement of forest, house and glass is also a good composition !   Posted: 09/28/2021 02:59:45
