May 2022 - from 24 photos - Speed Limit

About the Image(s)

To meet the 'assignment' for the month I took my camera with me on a walk about the neighborhood and just took 24 photos with no display on, even used the viewfinder for all like in the old days! Once home I uploaded the 24 and picked one. There was no digital alteration (other than sizing). I was lucky that Sun City Az was kind and provided me this 'day in the life' type photo opportunity while I was out walking. Had the D750 with the 50mm ISO200 f/5.6 1/250sec

I never seen someone walking a dog like that. I've never been to Sun City but surprised there is so much grass. I thought it was all desert and nobody wanted the water bill. I like the photo you chose and really tells a story.   Posted: 05/14/2022 22:40:26

The golf cart does look like it isn't exceeding the speed limit. It is setting its own pace. So good to include the speed limit sign to help tell the story. I didn't realize the person in the golf cart was walking a dog. I thought that shape was something built into the sidewalk. I wondered what it was. Now I see the leash!   Posted: 05/16/2022 07:58:23

Great idea, Walter. You should title this "Only in Sun City".
I am sure the assignment made your walk more interesting. I suggest cropping off the part to the left of the golf cart as it would put the focus more on the dog.   Posted: 05/16/2022 09:58:07

This is great! Many years ago there lived in our town a rather accentric lady, who was loved and admired by all. She used to walk her dogs in just this way - driving her old 1930's car while the dogs trotted along. So I really appreciate this image. Your assignment 'like the film days' is a good excercize.   Posted: 05/18/2022 10:31:27
