About the Image(s)

This was taken here in Sun City Az but since we don't have fall'ish' color until Jan or Feb. This was taken at the beginning of this year at a lake near a recreation center. Since it was such a calm day, I was able to utilize the mirror effect of the water to what I feel is a satisfying 'fall' image with the added bonus of a.m. light. I used the D750 18-200 Zoom and did a tight crop to have the tall trees frame the photo. I dehazed the sky and added a bit of sat in Photoshop, but it is pretty close to what I witnessed that morning on my walk.

Well, Walter, you certainly achieved what you wanted to do. It is a lovely image. The lighting is magical. I played with cropping it from either top or bottom, but your version is better.   Posted: 10/12/2021 10:41:04

I really like the mirrored water of the trees. I felt the light was just perfect. The photo's main focus is the 4 trees and the way they situated made it easy to focus and not distracting. Great photo.   Posted: 10/12/2021 18:45:06

Excellent choice of subject matter by finding a perfect reflection of the fall season. That area of the image would make a great 8x10 print. The upper trees don't really matter to me although their shape makes for a dramatic tall skinny picture. The color and contrast look of the upper part of the photo doesn't seem to match the bright intensity of the colorful trees and water area. Looks washed out to me.   Posted: 10/17/2021 14:19:19
