About the Image(s)

This is an image I took on a trip to New Mexico several years ago. This was taken with a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 70-300 lens.

I converted the color image to monochrome using Silver Efex Pro, darkened the sky, and increased the contrast to add more drama.

Your B&W treatment brings out the harshness of the landscape and the storm threat.   Posted: 12/02/2021 23:31:38

Great capture, Henry. I concur with Allen about how well your processing underscores the drama of the scene. One small suggestion: consider darkening the upper right corner to direct the eye more toward the center.   Posted: 12/06/2021 12:13:58

A wonderful image and a great conversion from color to mono. I think the image would be improved if there was something of interest in the foreground such as a close up of one of the larger plants with your wonderful background in the distance.   Posted: 12/11/2021 12:46:01
