About the Image(s)

I took this photo, on a one warm summer day, of activity along the Maumee River (near Toledo Ohio). The photo was made using my infrared camera and a very wide angle lens. While the overall image is interesting I felt the main area of interest was the activity at the bottom right of the image. So, in processing I cropped out the railings on the right and much of the left side of the image. I also liked the way the river meandered toward the bridge in the background so I increased the size of the bridge and cropped out some of the clouds.

Hi Jim, Great image. The people really form a strong foreground which immediately captures the viewers eye. The "v" in the concrete and the light clouds then lead the viewer to the background.
I seemed to spend a lot of time viewing this image.   Posted: 11/04/2021 12:06:45

I like this a lot, Jim. The way the people are oriented on the diagonal works really well. The IR adds interest in the trees and sky. Great image.   Posted: 11/04/2021 14:25:09

Playing in the water after a snowstorm!?! Your IR shot really caught my attention.   Posted: 11/05/2021 11:48:29

A great improvement over the original, Jim. I think your enlarging the bridge definitely made it part of the image.

Although you cropped it into the current form, I believe that you could still have enough subject matter to make two individual images - a human interest (foreground)and a landscape (background).
