About the Image(s)

I took this photo in June ’21 in Hamburg. Yeah, Hamburg is not my hometown, but my favorite town for architecture. The picture shows the skywalk connecting the end stations of subway and city train called Elbbruecken. This is a very good place with much motifs. Be sure to visit it while being here during autumn / winter because the lighting is tremendous! Don’t forget your tripod then! Canon EOS R5; f/8; 1/400; ISO 100; 14mm; free-hand without flash. I value both leading lines of the ground should disappear in the edges and I want to have a symmetry at all. No more changes to the picture.

The 14mm perspective really holds my attention.   Posted: 07/08/2021 15:58:05

I like the image and the great perspective. But, I am bothered by having the end of the skywalk in almost the exact center of the photo. In my revision I cropped the left side which I felt improved the composition.   Posted: 07/08/2021 19:27:51

Hello Jim, I have to admit, that this version has much charme. I am still impressed by the vanishing point in the center but I will add this version to the stock! Thank you for your comment!

I like this a lot. I like the vanishing point in the center, particularly since you have it slightly above the vertical center. The shadows add a lot of interest here. Good work.   Posted: 07/20/2021 22:06:58

Both versions are strong images. Like Henry, I prefer your original. The repeating oval elements emphasize symmetry.   Posted: 07/29/2021 15:19:27
