About the Image(s)

I set out to record the bright color of these small flowers under soft sunlight. This small insect flew in for a snack, providing a less conventional photo. Switching to monochrome emphasizes the the interaction the insect with the structure of the blossom.

Canon 6D, Tamron 90mm macro lens, f/16, ISO 3200, 1/100s. Into Lightroom for Crop then Curve adjustment lifting and sharpening the brights, lowering and softening the darks - shown in Original 1. Small aperture for depth of field required high ISO, producing noticeable luminance noise in the original capture. DXO Pure Raw eliminated the noise improving detail sharpness - more noticeable at full resolution than our small images - as shown in Original 2. Adobe Monochrome profile produced the final picture. Suggestions?

I like this a great deal. Nicely composed and your processing did an effective job with noise and sharpening. Good job of posing the bug. <g>
A few minor nits:
clone out that bright bit along the lower right edge; blur the stalk that extends from the top of the flower to the top edge just left of center. That'll make it more consistent with the other blurred background elements.   Posted: 07/07/2021 12:43:10
