About the Image(s)

I was in Wall, South Dakota last week. Looking around town for something
to photograph (besides Wall Drug), I found a recently built series of
grain silos on the north side of town. They were nicely shiny so I
worked the scene for quite a while as the sun went down. I liked this
angle and the way it emphasized the rivet patterns and vanishing point
of the vertical lines. Black and white conversion done in Lightroom with
B&W 04 profile, further adjustments done in the basic panel. Used the
graduated filter to darken the sky.
Sony A7R IV, 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens. 16mm, f/20, 1/15, ISO 400.

Monochrome is the correct presentation for this precision metal work.   Posted: 06/07/2021 19:08:41

I like the image a lot and your conversion. The mono image is great. No suggestions.   Posted: 06/09/2021 20:41:51

Congrats, Henry! It is not easy to take a corrugated iron in the sun - regardless which daytime. You need a certain angle not to catch the full sun. This only allows certain perspectives. No suggestions also.   Posted: 06/15/2021 03:02:44
