About the Image(s)
This photo was taken in Charleston. As we were walking one evening I was taken by the shadow cast from the wrought iron gate onto the pavement. B&W was a natural fit. Fuji Finepix S9100, 0.6 sec, f2.8, iso 200, 62mm, using a monopod.

Sheldon,
I love playing with shadows, especially in monochrome. I really like this. Your dead center composition was spot on here, creating a wonderful graphical image. This would print wonderfully.   Posted: 03/12/2025 12:06:39

I like the graphic nature of this image and presenting it in monochrome is perfect in my view. I love all the different shapes and the elongating shadow as it gets farther from the gate. I just noticed that in the foreground, it's a little skewed to the left. I might just straighten that and remove that tiny sliver of light on the lower right hand corner.   Posted: 03/15/2025 10:31:58
