About the Image(s)

The camera data does not matter with this shot! I processed the Original in the original Topaz Studio -- Glow (not available anymore). With minimum adjustments in Lightroom, this is what resulted. Lots of fun. This is what you can do with an echinacea shot which is not very good.

I wouldn't have guessed that this was an echinacea, but you're right that it doesn't matter because the end result is very cool to look at. I love the details at the very middle and the ombre effect of the orange to yellow. --Carrie   Posted: 08/11/2022 22:30:56

I love this image...it's just so cool. Your comment that Glow is not available gave me an incentive to research that further. I'm not sure if you meant as a stand-alone, or not available at all, but I did find it in the original Topaz package on my computer and was able to use it. It may not have been updated.   Posted: 08/13/2022 08:38:37

Don't try to update it. If you update it to Studio II, you loose the original Studio.   Posted: 08/13/2022 12:23:00

The title says it all!
I really like how you've tapped into something unique. Do you know of others who practice the same technique?   Posted: 08/13/2022 16:57:38

No, I don't. I have some photography friends who use Topaz Studio, but they were surprised at this.   Posted: 08/13/2022 19:43:00

Doug, I like how your are using Topaz. Impressive! I wish I had both the original Topaz and Topaz Studio.   Posted: 08/15/2022 20:25:19

A strong filtered image with a brilliant color palette! I also like the way Glow emphasizes the underlying geometrical lines of the original flower. Redfield Plugins makes Fractalius, a filter with many settings, that similarly brings out the lines of a subject as a mesh network (https://www.redfieldplugins.com/filterFractalius.htm).   Posted: 08/20/2022 14:12:23

I went to their site. There is Fractilius One, 2, and 4G. Which would you recommend?   Posted: 08/22/2022 21:06:54
