Town of Marshall, Pt. Reyes National Seashore by Donna Sturla

December 2021 - Town of Marshall, Pt. Reyes National Seashore

About the Image(s)

This is a tiny town,. Marshall, in a quiet area of Pt. Reyes National Seashore -- check it out on Google ! It's a lovely area with many photographic opportunities. Mu cousin and I visited and ate at a restaurant on the pier.
I took this image with my Samsung SM-G781V, at f 1.8, 1/20 sec, 5.40 mm, ISO 320. Then I took it into Photoshop and edited out some unattractive stuff, increased saturation, straightened out the horizon, the normal things we do. I love the peaceful look of this area. Please critique !

Nice image but it does not pop for me. Maybe a close up of the building on the left would be better.   Posted: 12/20/2021 12:48:08

I wasn't looking for a "pop" but was wanting to create something quiet and peaceful. But if it doesn't draw you in, I get it . Thanks !   Posted: 12/20/2021 16:20:10

Thanks, Diana. Merry Christmas, see you in the new year. Can't wait for my dahlias to arrive.

I love the colors, the reflection, and the quiet fell of the image. If you could clone out the two black things in the water, that would be good. Also, increasing the saturation (and Luminence?) of the green of the trees would be good.   Posted: 12/26/2021 13:18:18

Those are rocks that were in the water; I don't know if I can effectively clone them out. But thank you for your suggestions. Happy New Year !   Posted: 12/26/2021 14:59:10
