Poor fellow looks tired, doesn't he? I think it's a nice image anyway, and I would love to see the ground around him darkened a bit, I keep looking at it (it's brighter than he is in places) but other than that, nice shot.   Posted: 10/11/2021 16:38:23

Yep...a sleepy lion. Someone told me once that to shoot wildlife there needs to be some action. A raptor on a fence is not always enough. I raptor on a fence eating a mouse is another thing. Sometimes sleepy lions are just that. Smile for the camera. Now if you could have put a mouse trapped under his paw? The photo does look a little soft and yes agree with Donna the color between the lion and the background is too similar.   Posted: 10/12/2021 11:10:06

The lion has a nice mane but definitely appears to be sleeping! The image is sharp where it counts - around face and mane. The distracting effect of the bright background could be reduced by cropping in from bottom, left and right edges.   Posted: 10/18/2021 15:11:18

Rich, nice picture. Great detail and sharpness. Mark made a nice suggestions on how to improve your image. Sometimes cropping is all an image needs.   Posted: 10/25/2021 21:06:35
