Lovely, Diana. Nice color, nice background. I'd lighten it up a little, it's a bit dark, although that could be my computer. I think it's a really nice picture !   Posted: 09/12/2021 03:52:17

Thanks Donna, my images tend to be dark. I need to calibrate my computer. I noticed there is nothing written about the image. I thought I included the image information.   Posted: 09/15/2021 13:33:53

Beautiful. The flower is perfect even with some areas soft.   Posted: 09/18/2021 01:19:33

Rich, thank you for your positive comments. Rich, I used my Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens to take this image which is why is has a soft finish. I am glad you like the orange dahlia.

I took this image with my Sony R3 with the Velvet 56 lens. Used a tripod and window light. I placed a green background and added a vignette using the orange color from the flower.   Posted: 09/18/2021 12:50:48

I knew this was a dahlia, having been to the Dahlia Society Show at nearby Longwood Gardens only last weekend! There is softness in some of the petals, but detail is preserved throughout. I also like the complementary color scheme of green background versus orange flower and vignette. Well-done!   Posted: 09/24/2021 16:42:20
