The original image was from a slide that was then scanned using Digital Imagers in Atlanta, Ga. I often wonder what happens to companies like that. The original bird was from a trip to San Francisco's Fishermen's Wharf area. It was a great trip.
How I took this Image
Image scanned from a slide, no data available.
What did I do to this image
This is taxing my memory but I think this is how I did this. I brought this image into probably Photoshop 5, then I used a filter called 3D perspective (don't think it is available anymore). I then used an earlier version of Corel Paintshop Pro which had a filter called Psychedelic. This image never did well in salons, but it did get an Overall Best of Show ribbon at the Wisconsin Valley Fair.

I like the angle of the bird and the fact just the upper portion of the bird is showing. Your crop provides more impact from the saturated colors.   Posted: 05/10/2022 22:58:54

Iit is psychedelic! I think it is an interesting effect. Not my taste but it does remind me of old psychedelic posters and album covers of my youth. It is a cool rendition of a ring bill gull!   Posted: 05/20/2022 11:03:17

Sounds like you did a bit of work on this image from the past. Colors work with the psychedelic theme. The bird looks good on the chosen background. Memories of previous times.   Posted: 05/23/2022 16:25:59
